Launch of UHC Forum
Dear Colleague,
Acting on a shared concern to energize health-focused policy and civic disocurses as the SDG 2030 deadline draws near including for Universal Health Coverage (UHC), some of us have sat informally for a series of soul-searching sessions over preceding several months facilitated by PPRC. These frank and insightful discussions identified the need and opportunity for a ‘coalition of the willing’ to coalesce around a platform to drive four specific goals:
i) bring urgency and realism to health reform discussions
ii) build momentum amongst professional stakeholders and policy constituencies around targeted actionable agenda
iii) scale up public and policy engagement on health as a strategic agenda and
iv) prioritize progress monitoring on UHC through real-time data and analysis.
With these preparatory steps completed, PPRC has arranged for a Public Dialogue session on Saturday, 10 February at 10.00 am at CIRDAP Auditorium, The session will deliberate on the rationale for the new initiatitive, tap wider stakeholder views on the issue, share modalities and action plan and launch the proposed UHC Forum.
